Cat and mouse

Dad spotted this unusual scene playing out on a garden lawn on his way to work this morning.

The ginger cat spotted the small mouse playing in the long grass, but rather than just pounce the cat sat and watched.

A standoff then occurred with neither the cat or mouse making the first move.

Sadly dad had to continue into work, so we do not know what happened.
