As the two year anniversary approaches repairs to a flood damaged wall in Carlisle are almost complete.

Rising from below the River Caldew over the last year a thick, solid red stone wall is almost at full height.
Damaged in the floods of June 2012 repairs have been ongoing and appear to be almost at an end.
When I walked past the site earlier today it appears as if workmen may have the top coping stones to add along with some backfilling of land between the West Coast Main Line and the wall.
