{"id":4768,"date":"2014-01-10T11:29:07","date_gmt":"2014-01-10T11:29:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ablogfrommydog.com\/contents1a\/?p=4768"},"modified":"2014-01-14T15:48:39","modified_gmt":"2014-01-14T15:48:39","slug":"red-sky-over-carlisle-this-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ablogfrommydog.com\/contents1a\/2014\/01\/red-sky-over-carlisle-this-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"Red sky over Carlisle this morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many two leggers say that a <a title=\"Red sky in the morning scientific explanation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.esrl.noaa.gov\/gmd\/grad\/about\/redsky\/\" target=\"_blank\">red sky on a morning<\/a> is the harbinger of bad weather later in the day.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4769\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4769\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ablogfrommydog.com\/contents1a\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2014\/01\/sunrise_over_carlisle_10jan2014.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4769\" alt=\"Red sunrise over Carlisle this morning\" src=\"https:\/\/ablogfrommydog.com\/contents1a\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2014\/01\/sunrise_over_carlisle_10jan2014-300x168.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4769\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Red sunrise over Carlisle this morning<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Well, \u00a0given the colour of the sky this morning it looks as if we are in for some seriously bad weather.<\/p>\n<p>Boiling red clouds mixed with orange and purple highlights made the sky scary and in a way \u00a0beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>It was just before dawn as Dad and I headed out into Bitts Park in the City for a walk and some fresh air.<\/p>\n<p>It was so early even the cars still had their headlights on and milk bottles had not been brought in from many doorsteps.<\/p>\n<p>We had the park to ourselves with only the tweeting birds for company and the occasional cyclist off to work.<\/p>\n<p>To our right as we left the park just after 8am, we were rewarded with a stunning red sky high above the city.
