It is well <a title=\"What is a fire hydrant?\" href=\"http:\/\/www.norfolkfireservice.gov.uk\/nfrs\/response\/hydrants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">documented<\/a> that the yellow sign indicates the size of the water pipe and the distance in front of sign where the hydrant is located.<\/p>\n<p>However, what is not certain is what the blue sign indicates.<\/p>\n<p>Some websites report that the blue sign indicates a private hydrant location or even that the hydrant is located \u00a0behind the sign and not in front of.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe you know more about the history of this sign? \u00a0Let me know via the comments area below.<\/p>\n<h2>Barton Arcade, Deansgate, Manchester gallery<\/h2>\n<p>Dad also managed to get some other photographs of the building.
